This cream is a medicinal preparation prepared specifically for you and treatment is carried out by Dr. Barbara Sturm at her office. To prepare it, an initial blood sample is taken; the blood is then processed biomechanically and stored at -30° C. It is then available for use in the treatments.
MC 3 contains the ingredient astaxanthin.
Astaxanthin originates from Hawaii. It is produced by red algae, the algae that also give shellfish their red color. This also makes the cream slightly red in color. Astaxanthin is a very strong antioxidant/free radical scavenger and is 40 times more effective than beta carotene and 400 times more effective than Vitamin E. It is the most powerful of the 600 carotenoids and one of 50 that have been found in the human body.
It has been proven to reduce wrinkles, as demonstrated in a 6-week test observation.
MC3 is a highly effective anti-wrinkle cream and is also particularly recommended in cases of a high degree of sun exposure and sun damage.
Blood samples are not required to make up MC3 cream.
Vitamin A acid/tretinoin protects against early skin aging.
Tretinoin is also described as a Vitamin A acid. The substance is a natural derivative of Vitamin A1 and can also be found in human blood. It belongs to the retinoid substance group; which includes both naturally occurring Vit.-A acid derivatives as well as synthetically produced ones. It is used externally and as a skin peel.
Tretinoin accumulates particularly in the horn layer, where it causes thinning and loosening of the horn layer and stimulates the formation of new skin cells.
MC4 contains tretinoin at 0.25mg = 0.25 %.
MC4 delivers the tretinoin below the skin's surface and reduces fine lines and wrinkles. MC4 is applied at night as a treatment for at least four but at the most eight weeks. This is a treatment that will be visible on your skin and should be carried out during the winter months, since Vitamin A acid is light-sensitive. Avoid sun exposure during this time. Do not apply to the eye area and use a richer daytime skin care regime than normal.
