Remarkably enough, there are now ways of tautening and rejuvenating the face which function entirely without the need for an operation (and therefore without the associated risks, difficulties and accompanying factors). A doctor experienced in the field of intradermal injections, through the skilled application of various strengths of hyaluronic acid identical to those occurring naturally, and the use of botulism toxin A, is able to work real miracles.
It is not just lines and wrinkles that make a face appear to age. As the years build up, the skin starts to lose its natural resilience and elasticity, and the flesh starts to reduce in volume, or to migrate and settle elsewhere. The face then ceases to look quite so uniformly filled out. In areas of only moderate volume loss, and slightly sagging skin, we work with 'lighter', i.e. less viscous, hyaluronic acids.
Liquid Lift is a technique applied to areas where skin has lost some of its natural resilience, a process which occurs naturally through tissue loss. When this process has progressed quite far, Liquid Lift is used to replenish that loss of volume, using hyaluronic acids of a higher viscosity and in slightly larger volumes than would otherwise be applied.
The choice of substances and needle thicknesses therefore varies in response to age, genetic characteristics and skin quality, and are always meticulously selected to suit each individual. Once applied, this supporting layer of hyaluronic acid restores the facial complexion, making it uniformly taut and naturally rejuvenated.
In addition, it is often advisable to complement the Liquid Lift process with a Botox Lift. A Botox Lift helps muscles to relax, and also relaxes the lines caused by habitual facial expressions, while Liquid Lift restores volume to the face in places where this has been lost or relocated as a result of ageing.
